Acton began in 2023, inspired by Alex Pang's deep passion for watches and his determination to forge his own path. It all started with a vintage watch passed down to him from his father. When Alex moved from the familiar streets of London to the vibrant energy of Hong Kong, he brought this treasured keepsake with him as a constant reminder to hustle hard and pursue big dreams.
As Alex's collection grew, he came to a meaningful realisation: people don't simply buy watches—they buy them to mark life's significant moments. A watch does more than keep time; it tells a story about who you are. That idea stuck with Alex. He wanted to create watches that were bold in design, crafted with quality materials, and didn't come with a hefty price tag. That's how Acton came to life. He and his wife Grace started the company in their living room.
Acton is named after the vibrant, gritty London neighborhood near Alex's childhood home. The place represents boldness, resilience, and authenticity—all qualities that Alex stands for. The Acton logo—the Rook chess piece—symbolises strategic thinking, calculated moves, and the determination to make every second count.
